Barb Randolph

I love to learn and I am excited to become a part of the learning community of Prodigy Leadership Academy. I have 30 years of experience teaching English and French at a public junior high school. In addition, I have been a leader in the Bible Study Fellowship School Program. Recently, I have even taught English online to Chinese students. I truly believe that teaching is my calling, and I have been blessed to serve in such an important occupation. As Todd Whitaker explains, “The best thing about being a teacher is that it matters; the hardest thing about being a teacher is that it matters every day.”

Throughout my career, I have been honored to be recognized with several awards including the following: Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce Educator of the Year, Edna C. Kinder Excellence in Teaching Award, Missouri Fine Arts Academy Significant Impact Teacher, Girl Scouts Unsung Hero Award, American Legion Patriot Award, and the VFW Post 3838 Citizenship Education Award. The best rewards, however, are when I see the light go on in the eyes of students. I believe an important goal is for students to become lifelong thinkers who apply academic knowledge to problem solve.

I love spending time exploring the outdoors with my husband Bob and our eight grand-blessings. I also find joy in reading God’s Word, and can’t wait to see what God has planned for the next chapter of my life at Prodigy Leadership Academy.
